Judy - LACMA

After participating in 2003's acclaimed and exhilarating "Brave Destiny" surrealist show in Brooklyn, NY, Judy spent several months exploring the darker side of still lifes.  Her compositions included skulls, skeletons, vampires and other mythical monsters which over time gave birth to her slightly less alarming "Bookshelf Melodramas" with dolls and clowns.  Exhibits of these works in New York and California have alternated with her shows of architecture subjects.
Three weird Bookshelf Melodramas were shown at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, Chelsea, NYC in April 2004; a solo show included 8 at the Malibu Library in Sept-Oct 2005.  Five more were commissioned for the "Rhythm of Love" group show at the Santa Barbara's Fielding Graduate University, Feb. - Apr. 2006.
